New Delhi, July 16, 2025 — Marking a significant stride in fostering agricultural innovation and public-private collaboration, Agrinnovate India Limited successfully facilitated the transfer of 13 advanced technologies developed by various ICAR institutes to industry partners. The Technology Licensing Agreements, collectively valued at ₹1.7 crore, were formalized on the 97th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), held at C. Subramaniam Hall, NASC Complex, New Delhi.

The celebrations were inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and graced by the Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Shri Bhagirath Choudhary. The event witnessed the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including Dr. M.L. Jat, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR); Shri Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare; Shri Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR); and Shri Puneet Agarwal, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Financial Advisor (ICAR), Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate India Ltd. (AgIn).

The licensed technologies span a diverse range of agricultural domains — from post-harvest processing and value addition, to bioformulations, veterinary diagnostics and vaccines, and precision agricultural machinery and crop science and horticultural varieties — all developed under the robust framework of India’s National Agricultural Research System (NARS).

This initiative reaffirms the growing industry interest in science-based, scalable agri-technologies and underlines ICAR’s commitment to driving innovation-led growth in Indian agriculture. It also highlights the instrumental role of Agrinnovate India Ltd. as the commercial arm of ICAR, enabling seamless technology transfer from research labs to farms and industries, thus fostering entrepreneurship, employment, and enhanced farm productivity.
